Webinar Series: Who is My Neighbor? Community Development Seminar Developing Congregations, Buildings & Neighborhoods with Room for All of Us

New York State Council of Churches, Goldstein Hall, and Pace University Land Use Law Center are pleased to announce that this year, the Who is My Neighbor Seminars will be held online for the summer giving you the ability to attend from the comfort of your home (or the beach). Join us and other partners to reflect together on how we build racially and economically inclusive neighborhoods, towns and cities. We want communities where everyone can belong, participate and contribute. We want to offer you the tools and perspectives which can aid you in building the state and world we all want.

This four-part webinar series will be a great opportunity for you to:

  • Explore how your house of worship can reach out to your community
  • Take necessary steps to position your house of worship to use its property for mission
  • Understand your neighborhood and land use laws and how to advocate for change
  • Counter Not in My Backyard to create inclusive neighborhoods for all
  • Meet with organizations offering pre-development and development dollars and learn how to apply for those dollars
  • New case examples of small and larger projects.
