Goldstein Hall announces the launch of the Goldstein Hall Fellowship for Affordable Housing and Community Development in partnership with Howard University School of Law. The fellowship offers a significant opportunity for public-oriented law school students to learn from experienced and passionate attorneys in the industry.

Fellows in the program spend eight weeks at the firm and will be immersed in intensive and complex closings requiring coordination with the government agencies, private lenders and equity investors. The Fellow will assist attorneys with various tasks such as preparing closing documents related to real estate acquisition and/or loan closings, drafting of condo and coop conversion plans, drafting of sales agreements, leases and other commercial contracts, preparing corporate formation documents for business entities and not-for-profit corporations, including IRS 501(c)3 applications, and/or preparing applications for NYC property tax exemptions.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants can apply directly through Howard Law School. The Fellowship is open to all students attending Howard Law. Previous Goldstein Hall Fellowship for Affordable Housing and Community Development winners are not eligible for consideration.
