Mr. Spada’s practice focuses on construction law, litigation, and advising public and private companies on all facets of construction projects as well as on transactional and corporate matters. He represents a broad range of clients including owners, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, architects, sureties, and developers. Mr. Spada has been intricately involved with construction projects for mixed-use commercial and residential buildings, schools, hospitals, churches, environmental preservation and remediation projects, and infrastructure projects for New York’s energy, water, roadways, bridges, and subways.

Mr. Spada provides full construction services to his clients from project formation through completion, and all aspects of the project in between. His experience regarding construction projects includes contract drafting and negotiation, scope of work disputes, payment disputes, change order disputes, construction defects, delay claims, mechanic’s liens, bond claims, wrongful termination, and insurance claims.

Mr. Spada is well-versed in construction contracts which enables him to draft, review, and negotiate contracts that meet the client’s goals and provide the protection they need. As a sophisticated negotiator, Mr. Spada works towards mitigating or eliminating any client exposure in order to avoid potential litigation, or in the event litigation is unavoidable, put the client in a favorable position to win. In addition, Mr. Spada has successfully negotiated and settled multi-million dollar complex construction project disputes and has effectively and expeditiously obtained court rulings and judgments in his client’s favor. Mr. Spada’s experience, innovative thinking and common-sense approach to business and construction related disputes enables him to identify and create solutions in order to obtain favorable results that meet the client’s expectations and bottom line.
