The United Jewish Organizations (UJO) of Williamsburg held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, August 13, for its first-ever owned headquarters at 498 Bedford Avenue. Established in 1966 to support Holocaust survivors and other refugees, UJO has operated for nearly six decades from rented spaces. This new five-story building marks a historic milestone and will significantly enhance the organization’s capacity to serve Williamsburg’s 75,000 residents.

Goldstein Hall is proud to serve as General Counsel on this transformative $9.3 million project, which will create a modern, multi-use office space to support UJO’s expanding programs—including food assistance, health and housing services, workforce development, senior support, and advocacy for Holocaust survivors. With $800,000 in capital funding committed by local officials, the new headquarters reflects UJO’s enduring commitment to community development and marks a new chapter in strengthening Williamsburg and North Brooklyn.
