Gateway Revitalization

Gateway Revitalization is a 38-unit scattered site affordable housing project, developed by First Ward Action Council, Inc., across multiple parcels in Binghamton’s First Ward, involving the substantial renovation of 7 existing buildings to provide 15 residential units and new construction of 2 buildings that will provide 23 residential units and will include 2 commercial spaces. The Project will replace dilapidated buildings that would otherwise need to be demolished with fully renovated, energy efficient, high-quality apartments. The Project was financed through construction loans from NBT Bank, NYS Empire State Development, and the HOME ARPA program, as well as federal low-income housing tax credit equity investment from Enterprise, state low-income housing tax credit equity investment through Fallbrook, and grants from The City of Binghamton, and Broome County Land Bank.
